Promising Bulls flank Elrigh Louw will miss Saturday's Rainbow Cup SA decider against the Sharks in Durban after suffering a knee injury in his side's 31-27 win over the Stormers.
The 21-year-old has been a stalwart for the Bulls in recent times and his absence will be felt this weekend.
Louw wrote on Instagram.
Saturday's match at Kings Park will also determine South Africa's participant in the Rainbow Cup's North v South final, which is scheduled for Treviso in Italy on 19 June.
The Bulls currently top the Rainbow Cup SA standings on 20 points, with the Sharks second on 16.
In order to pip the men from Pretoria to the post, the Durbanites need a clear bonus point win, while not allowing the Bulls to score four tries or come within seven points of them.
A four point win won't be enough for the Sharks as the Bulls have a significantly better points differential (+54 compared to the -14 of the Sharks).
In the northern section, three teams - Glasgow Warriors, Benetton and Munster - are still in the running to make the final.
