TEHRAN -- Iran said it would suspend all access by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to the country's nuclear facilities beyond a safeguard agreement.

ABUJA -- Three policemen were killed when gunmen attacked a zoological garden in southeast Nigeria, authorities said on Monday.
One civilian, identified as the managing director of the Ogba Zoological Gardens, in the southeastern state of Edo, was kidnapped in the attack on Sunday, police spokesperson Moses Nkombe said. (Nigeria-Insecurity-Attack)

BAGHDAD -- Seven militants of the Islamic State (IS) group were killed on Monday in U.S.-led coalition airstrikes on an IS hideout in Iraq's northern province of Kirkuk, the Iraqi military said.
Based on intelligence reports, the international coalition aircraft conducted eight airstrikes on an IS position in a rugged area named Wadi al-Shay in the southern part of the province, the media office of the Joint Operations Command (JOC) said in a statement. (Iraq-IS-Airstrikes)

NAIROBI -- Italian Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) Luca Attanasio was killed during an attack on a World Food Program (WFP) convoy in the Virunga National Park in the east of the country, said park officials on Monday.
According to park officials, the ambassador's bodyguard, the driver and several others were also killed in the attack. Several other members of the convoy were seriously injured by gunshot wounds. (DRC-Italy-Ambassador)
