ANKARA -- The security and military cooperation between Turkey and Italy will serve the bilateral ties and entire region, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on Tuesday.

RAMALLAH -- Palestine on Tuesday hailed the latest resolutions of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) that call for the protection of Palestinian heritage sites from Israeli moves.
Member of the Palestine Liberation Organization Hanan Ashrawi said the decision is important at a time of "increasing Israeli actions against Palestinian heritage sites," specifically within its annexation plan that is likely to take over historical and archeological sites in the West Bank. TEHRAN -- The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) on Tuesday denied foreign reports of an explosion at a nuclear site in central Iran, official IRNA news agency reported.
In a statement, the AEOI's public relations office dismissed the reports about explosion in Shahid Rezaei Nejad nuclear complex in the central province of Yazd as "false news and rumors." (Iran-Nuke)

TEHRAN -- Iran recorded 200 death cases from COVID-19 within the past 24 hours on Tuesday, the highest daily number of deaths since the outbreak of the disease in the country in February.
With the new fatalities, the death toll rose to 11,931, said Sima Sadat Lari, spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health and Medical Education, during her daily update. (Iran-COVID-19)
