ILOILO CITY, Dec. 11 (PIA-6) -- Nine barangay-based tribes will be featured in the "Pamukaw" on December 14, 2019, that will signal the start of the Dinagyang season.
Oscar Vijuan, tribe manager of Tribu Parianon which is one of the barangay-based tribes that will join the event this Saturday, said they are grateful to the city government here and the Iloilo Festival Foundation Inc., that they will be able to take part in the Dinagyang 2020 festivities.
"It has been nine years since we were able to perform," Vijuan said in the dialect, adding that they are glad that the traditional Pamukaw is being revived.
